Happy Moringa Monday

3fa9c-fennelThe Moringa trees that I cut in half a few weeks ago and planted out are just starting to show signs that they are doing alright by budding with new growth.

Last night we heard that pet rabbits in Bayonet Head, close to Emu Point, have died from the new Calicivirus release. I didn’t think they would release the virus with the recent rainfall we’ve had, but there you go.

Hopefully we still have time to have our nets arrive and to close our rabbits and guinea pigs up for a while. This has given me cause to reconsider my design plans for their enclosures when I come to creating them.

About Petit Paradis

I am on a journey with my family to transition as closely as practicable to a state of self-reliance in suburbia. I practice permaculture principles in our house, garden and community. We are on the southern coast of Western Australia. To our north is the rest of the world. To the south, Antarctica.

That seems so wrong that a virus that kills pets would be released. I know why it is necessary, but it still seems so wrong.
